Job Description: Project Manager
Location: Nashville, Tennessee (remote-eligible)
Overview: Founded in 1938, the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) is an arts education and performance organization with more than 14,000 singers in over 1,600 singing communities throughout North America. Our strategic vision of Everyone in Harmony is built upon four foundational concepts:

The Project Manager is a full-time position that fosters a forward-thinking, community-driven, consensus-building culture of accountability and impact across the organization to accelerate progress toward the organization’s business goals and prioritized strategic plan component.
Position: Remote-eligible Project Manager reporting to the BHS Executive Director
Primary Responsibilities:
- Brings project and program management principles to the operational objectives of the organization
- Lead and review all assigned projects and program planning, including resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting
- Works with project resources to ensure project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule, and cost
- Reports necessary status updates or changes to executive staff
- Reviews budgets, risk and change reports, and ensures projects are completed according to specifications and within budget
- Typically oversees multiple teams of project resources
- Accountable for reviewing integrated project plans, escalating & communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate
- Responsible for project, portfolio, and resource management reporting and communications. Includes portfolio prioritization and project intake, project status, resource utilization and capacity forecasting
- Provides support to project stakeholders in understanding the business requirements, and developing project business cases and plans
- Measures return on investment of strategic projects and program enhancements, including reporting on results in the organization’s Annual Report
Education, experience & attributes:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant project management experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven flexibility and ability to handle multiple projects and remotely manage multiple project teams
- Ability to motivate staff and volunteer resources to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated skills and drive to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Google-based environment, Basecamp, Salesforce, Slack and project management tools
- Knowledge of Barbershop Harmony Society a plus!
- Passionate about music/singing definitely a plus!
